Join two online seminars on Future Themes in International Retail Research, October 6 and 7

2020-09-01

The Centre for Retail Research at Lund University is proud to present two digital seminars at which international researchers will present their perspectives on future themes in retail research.

Seminar 1: Future Retail Forms

In the first seminar, the focus will be on the potential form and function of the physical store of the future. What influence will digitalisation wield and what elements will we still choose to still have analogue? Will we travel to stores or will they come to us? Will the usual suspects run retail or will new actors take over? The questions are numerous but so are the answers.

Seminar 2: Future consumption

In the second seminar, we focus on the consumer of the future. The current modes and levels of consumption – in which retail is responsible for selling a lot of products and services to consumers – are not sustainable. Neither are they responsible. Consumption creates problems for society and for the natural environment - especially in countries where retail products are sourced. So how will consumption develop and what will be important to the consumers of the future?
